Care Counselors
The Care Counselor ministry is called by the love of God to care for the
spiritual, relational, emotional and physical well being of the members
of The Olive Branch Church at Woodforest. A care counselor is a
compassionate person with a passion to share the gospel of Jesus Christ
to others. Care counselors are altar workers, always ready to meet the
needs of others through prayer and sound spiritual/biblical advice.
Care Groups
Each member is assigned to a care group. Each care group leaders serves
as an immediate point of contact to assist the pastor in making sure
every member is touched. Care group leaders are concerned about the
whole person and serves an encourager. In addition, special reports are
made through the care group ministry.
Christian Education
The Christian Education is to provide training for every member, at
every learning task. The educational ministry include but is not
limited to Church School, Life Enrichment and Bible Study, and the
School of Ministry.
Christian Men's Fellowship
("The King's Men")
The CMF provides
training for Christian men at every learning task. The men of The
Olive Branch Church at Woodforest are encouraged to become spiritual
leaders in their homes, church, and community; administrators of their
families as well as keepers of the temporal welfare of the church. The
Men's Ministries include: Deacons, Men's Bible Study, Boy's League,
Young Men's Ministry (The Gents), Men's Usher Board and Greeters,

Christian Women's Ministry ("Women of
Purpose")
The mission of the Women's Ministry is to
evangelize and disciple, to train, develop and provide leadership for
the general church such that it will enhance the role of feminine
ministries. This ministry works diligently to support Christian
women in the development of their homes and community. Ultimately,
the women's ministry works to assist the church and pastor in realizing
the vision of the church. The Women's Ministry includes:
Deaconess, Mother's Board, Minister's Wives. Contact person: Pastor

Communication, Media and Public Relations
This ministry works with the church's administrative assistant to
maintain proper communication within and without the church body as well
as to the community at large. Contact person: Sis. Earlie Rollins.
Deaconess Board
Mission statement: to make sure the linens and communion utensils are in
her charge, the preparation of the sacramental elements are in place;
the bread and wine are freshly prepared; the table is correctly arranged
for the pastor and his helpers; and to undress the table and see that
all goblets and trays are clean; to help young women to prepare for
baptism, and to make sure the pastor or designee is prepared to
administer sacrament to the shut in. To insure the internal temporal

Fine Arts
The fine arts
ministry is designed to evangelize and disciple as well as provide
artistic creativity in the areas of music, choir, dance, art, art-form
and drama; all for the purpose of inspiring and edifying both the lost
as well as the Christian believer. The ministries include: Praise
Leaders, Praise Dancers, Mime, Adult Choir, and Drama Club.

Friends Ministry
The Friends Ministry
is an Evangelism and Outreach ministry designed for the purpose of
reaching out to the lost and directing them to safety as according to
Matthew 28:19-10. The Friends Ministries include: Evangelism,
Missions, Partners for Discipleship, Ministry of Encouragement, Care
Counselors, and New Member Orientation.
Hospitality, Greeters and Usher
Board
These ministries are
designed to show kindness in entertaining strangers, guests, special
guests, and any person worshiping with the us; by providing a pleasant
environment and proper accommodations during all worship settings.

Ministers' Wives Circle
Mission Statement: To
organize and teach ways to maintain spiritual endurance, patience,
forbearance and a heart of love, mercy and understanding for everyone,
to be helpers, counselors, and examples for women in the church,
learning how to be a source of inspiration and great influence in her
and her husband's life. To have the right spirit, wisdom and great
influence with the people and working in the church.
Mission Ministry
This ministry is
designed to provide comfort and support to individuals and families in
their time of need. The ministry provides support by visitation to
the sick and shut-in; ministering to the needs of the poor, and
providing Bible training classes for the purpose of teaching on the
Christian standard of living. This ministry reaches out to support
the needs of all those it comes in contact with, whether believers or
unbelievers, by sharing the love of God. Contact person: Mother

Mother's Board
Mission statement:
To teach the women of the church their obligation to the church and
pastor, respect for leaders of the Church, to work in harmony with the
pastoral program for the church and how to live a chaste lifestyle.

Pastoral Support
The Pastoral Support
Committee consists of two (2) entities: The Pastor's Aide and the
Administrative Task Force. The Pastor's Aide assists the pastor
with his personal needs as well as assist the Pastor in ministering to
the congregation.
The Administrative
Task Force Committee assists the pastor in maintaining the
administrative function of the pastor.
Youth
Ministry
The Youth Ministries
are committed to continuing the effort of providing an environment
suitable for: Educating all youth in sound biblical principles;
equipping all youth as to how to live a Christian lifestyle;
evangelizing the message of Christ's love according to Matthew 28:18-20.
